Women have always been on the front line of housing and community development. In this video, made in collaboration with Shelterforce, Donna Price, an organizer with Detroit Affordable Housing Task Force, shares her experience as an impacted person living in a homeless shelter to finding her seat at the table helping others find housing.

She believes that task forces created to deal with the housing crisis must include housing organizers and grassroots leaders, like herself, who have the experience and expertise from being in this fight for decades.
