Miguel Rueda is a filmmaker and animator, with a Masters in Fine Arts from Academia Superior de artes de Bogotá (ASAB), and a degree in Graphic Design, Animation and Multimedia from LaSalle College, Bogotá Colombia. In 2008 he founded AguijonFilms in New York with the purpose of creating and participating in animation projects, films and multimedia. He has been invited to present his films at several film festivals. He has also won awards for his animations, and has presented at Yale University, Fairfield University and CUNY to talk about the animation process. As an animator, his goal is to help us imagine bigger, beyond what we see every day - to change the narratives we tell ourselves about what is possible.
