Terrance Sullivan (he/him) is a social and racial justice advocate living in Kentucky. He is the Racial Justice Director of Amnesty International USA. Before joining Amnesty International, Sullivan was appointed Executive Director of the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights in June 2020 during the height of the new age racial justice movement. The commission brought Terrance on to help lead their new era of advancing civil rights. Terrance was raised in Madisonville, Kentucky. He credits growing up as a “poor black kid in a small white town” as the reason he took on the role as ED of the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. While in office, he launched a weekly radio show and podcast called We & You to discuss civil rights, social justice, and other equity issues. He has also worked for the Louisville Metro Council as Chief of Staff and the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission as a Legislative Analyst.
